Cover Picture: Mitochondrial Transfer Between Cells. In this watercolor allegory, a powerhouse "factory" perched on the left cliff dispatches its mitochondria - the glowing cargo - across the bay to a green "recipient" town on the far shore. Four routes make the crossing, just as mitochondria transfer between cells: cargo ships drifting through open water evoke extracellular vesicles (EVs); a long suspension bridge spanning the strait mirrors tunneling nanotubes (TNTs); the row of barrage gates recalls gap junctions; and the coastal highway that merges the two shores into one continuous road embodies cell–cell fusion. Together they trace how cells share their power sources, and how energy flows from one cell to the next.

Back Cover Picture: The back cover features the original research article "Comparative Analysis of Small Extracellular Vesicles in Peritoneal Fluid from Endometriosis and Non-Endometriosis Patients: A Pilot Case-Control Study." Motivated by the need for reliable biomarkers to support the early detection of endometriosis, the authors explore whether small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) carry molecular signatures associated with the disease. Using single-particle interferometric reflectance imaging sensing, atomic force microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy, they develop a detailed picture of the vesicles' composition and physical properties. Their analysis reveals differences in protein- and lipid-associated Raman signals in peritoneal fluid-derived sEVs from women with and without endometriosis, as well as biochemical and morphometric differences between vesicles from peritoneal and follicular fluid. These exploratory findings deepen our understanding of extracellular vesicles in endometriosis and pave the way for larger studies on their potential relevance to biomarker discovery and reproductive health.
